Seeing Double after the rain

Wow – after a sunny day and a quick change in the wind’s direction, we had a short, but heavy rain….the reward? Hearing Mom say – ‘WOW! Look out the window at that rainbow! It’s just so colorful and looks like it right on the resort!’ So with cameras in hand we all trapsed out into the small drops to get a view of the Whole Rainbow! It was amazing…encompasing only ‘our’ Sand Lake! One pot of gold should be at Voyageurs and the other, near the shoreline by the bay – just to the left of Erma’s Island. And then………we had the start of a second! Truly a gorgeous scene! Hopefully this will be a sign of all good days ahead for another summer at Shady Shore on Sand Lake!

Welcome Baby….

There aren’t many things in life that are as endearing as a new baby! On January 11, the Ilse family welcomed Wesley into the world. New babies are the best blessing – new beginnings, more dreams, cherished wishes all come together! In this case, first time parents begin the journey or welcoming, caring, blessing, cuddling, holding and hugging their way thru each new day. Their Parents move on to another chapter and adapt a new name – Abuela, Grandpa, G’ma and more. And Their Parents move on from Grandma to Great Grandma! What a blessing this child is! Of course it doesn’t stop there! We can’t forget the new title of Aunt or Uncle – and the many Great Uncles and Aunts that come together to celebrate and welcome this new little one. He is in good hands with his new family. What a blessing…..</
